Introduction

• Uttarakhand Government celebrates its 23 foundation day on 9th of November 2023.
• While addressing the people of state, Chief Minister Sh. Pushkar Singh Dhami announced to start new marriage assistance scheme in Uttarakhand.
• The name of new marriage assistance scheme of Uttarakhand will be "Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana".
• The main objective behind starting this scheme is to provide needed support for the marriage of a Girl.
• This scheme is going to be known by some other name once implemented which are :- "Uttarakhand Chief Minister Girl Marriage Assistance Scheme" or "Uttarakhand Chief Minister Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana" or "Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Scheme".
• Government of Uttarakhand will provide the neccessary assistance needed for the marriage of a Girl under Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana.
• Marriage Ceremony will be organised in every district to conduct the mass marriage of bride and groom.
• All Expenses incurred on the mass marriage ceremony will be borne by the Government of Uttarakhand.
• There might be a chance that Uttarakhand Government will also provide the financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana, it will only clear once the scheme is being implemented.
• Benefits of Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana will only provided to those couples who are willing to wed in mass marriage ceremony conducted by Government of Uttarakhand.
• Right now this is only the announcement of Government.
• Very soon the Official Guidelines will be released.
• Then the remaining eligibility conditions, benefits and apply process of Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana will get cleared.

Benefits of Scheme

• The below mentioned benefits will be provided to all Eligible Beneficiaries under Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana :-
  • All Marriage Expenses will be Borne by the Government.
  • Financial Assistance might be provided, will only clear once guidelines issued.

Eligibility

• According to the received information the following eligibility conditions is needed to be fulfilled to avail the benefit of Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana of Uttarakhand Government :-
  • Bride should be a Resident of Uttarakhand.
  • The Age of Bride should be 18 Years or More.
  • The Age of Groom should be 21 Years or More.
  • Remaining Eligibility Conditions will be Released Soon.

• Following Documents will expected to be needed after implementation of Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana :-
  • Residence Proof/ Domicile of Uttarakhand.
  • Aadhar Card of Bride.
  • Aadhar Card of Groom.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Income Certificate.

How to Apply

• Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Sh. Pushkar Singh Dhami announced to start a new marriage assistance scheme while addressing the people of State on the foundation day of Uttarakhand on 9th of November 2023.
• Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana will going to implement very soon in Uttarakhand State.
• As per the available information the Application Procedure is not clear whether it is through Online Application Form or through Offline Application Form.
• It will only clear when Government of Uttarakhand released the Official Guidelines of Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah Yojana.
• So the beneficiary will have to wait little bit more in order to avail the benefit of marriage assistance under this scheme.
